Frequently asked questions
Is backing a campaign an investment?+
No. Community Support, Early Access, Product pre-order and Founding Backer contributions do not give you equity, dividends, profit-share, interest, repayment or any other financial return. Regulated investment is not available on Sowithme.
Does Sowithme guarantee that a business will succeed or deliver rewards?+
No. We review campaigns before they go live, but approval is not a guarantee of success or fulfilment. Read each campaign's risks before backing.
What does 'verified' mean?+
It means Sowithme has reviewed certain information or documents about the business. It is an internal review, not a regulatory approval.
Why can't I back more than a certain amount?+
Contribution limits depend on your verification level. You can raise your limit by completing identity verification. Limits are provisional product settings.
When is my contribution confirmed?+
Only after our payment provider verifies the payment. Being redirected back to Sowithme is not, on its own, confirmation.
How do I get a refund?+
Refund eligibility depends on the campaign model and the founder's terms. All-or-nothing campaigns that miss their target are refunded. Contact support or open a dispute from your contribution page.
Which fundraising models can my business use?+
It depends on your verified stage, legal readiness and documents. Your business dashboard shows what's available now and what you need to unlock more.
How do you protect my data?+
Identity documents are stored privately and accessed only by authorised compliance staff via short-lived links, with every access logged. You can export your data or request deletion from your account.
